Bio
I joined the Bridges laboratory in June, 2013 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Mississippi State University and a Master of Science in Biology at the University of Akron. During my graduate training, my research primarily focused on molecular neuroendocrinology and behavior under Dr. Bruce Cushing using prairie voles as a model organism. Within the Bridges laboratory, we employ a variety of techniques, as well as multiple organisms to further our scientific knowledge regarding diabetes and obesity. Through our findings, we hope to improve upon current treatment methods for diabetes and obesity.
