  1. Check the recent tables of contents for journals we discuss from regularly, like Cell Metabolism, Diabetes, Molecular Metabolism, Cell, Nature and Science.
  2. Try looking through trending pubmed articles at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/trending. These are the most recently downloaded articles and are often quite new.
  3. Try searching through Altmetric.com. These are articles that are widely being discussed is the news or throughout social media. That search is here: https://www.altmetric.com/explorer.php registration is required.
  4. Set an email or rss alert for authors or topics you are interested in on PubMed.
  5. Search google scholar (https://scholar.google.com).
