Find Clone with UCSD Genome Browswer

  1. Go to [UCSC Genome Browser]
  2. Click on Genome Browser
  3. Select Mouse (or whatever species you need) under genome
  4. Type gene name in the search box
  5. Select appropriate item from search results
  6. Adjust tracks as necessary, being sure to include BAC End Pairs under Mapping and Sequence Tracks
  7. Zoom out as necessary to find ends of BAC clones
  8. Print out and save BAC clone choices

Ordering BAC Clones

  1. Go to BACPAC website (http://bacpac.chori.org/order_clones.php)
  2. Enter clone name and submit to verify
  3. Can order clones through LSI purchasing (vendor is listed as BACPAC-chor)
