Bio
I was born and raised in New Orleans, but I am a senior at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. I hope to purse a career as a Physician’s Assistant, although I am majoring in Art History due to an ongoing interest in the visual arts. I feel lucky to have been able to explore a range of interests while in college, including travel while studying abroad in Malaysia and the nautical sciences through a program with SEA, which culminated in a month long sailing voyage. In my free time, I enjoy Memphis’s abundance of live music, Tennessee’s canoeing and camping opportunities, and any other adventurous outings. Most recently, my interests have led to me to Dr. Bridges lab, through which I have gained extensive experience working with fruit flies by taking care of stocks, preparing crosses, and sorting phenotypes. This experience has given me a more thorough understanding of the daily operations of a lab as well as a greater appreciation for the possibilities in science. It has been all in all, a thoroughly rewarding learning experience.
